What to do Before Your Appointment:
While waiting for your appointment, follow these steps:

Don't try to fix it yourself: if your retainer wire is damaged or sharp, don't try to adjust it yourself. You might inadvertently cause further damage or injury.

Keep your mouth clean: continue to brush and floss your teeth regularly, taking extra care around the damaged wire.
